France Coast - Avranches to the Loire Valley

We picked up a 'walking tour' brochure from the Tourist Information Centre which was surprisingly open (most seem to be shut). The first stop was this marble statue of the great General Valhubert who was born in Avranches in 1764. The statue was originally commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte.
